Human MEK1 Xpress Clones express MEK1, a dual specificity protein kinase and key regulator in the MAP kinase/ERK signaling pathway, which integrates signals involved in cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and development. MEK1 activates MAP kinases (ERKs) upon phosphorylation, with key residues such as K97, S218, and S222 being crucial for its activity. The dominant-negative mutant (P1030b), with mutations K97R, S218A, and S222A, is inactive, while the constitutively active mutant (P1030c), with mutations S218E and S222E and a deletion of residues 31-52, is ~400 times more active than wild-type MEK1. These clones are ideal for studying MAPK signaling, kinase activation, and cellular responses in cancer and development research. - 20 ug each
