An antibody specific for POLRMT has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyPOLRMT present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjµgated antibody specific for POLRMT is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjµgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of POLRMT bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Product Overview:Mitochondria of all organisms contain a genome that is distinct from that of the nucleus. The circµLar mitochondrial chromosome contains 37 genes that encode the RNA components of the mitochondrial translational apparatus, i.e., 22 transfer RNAs and 2 ribosomal RNA genes, as well as 13 polypeptide-encoding genes. POLRMT encodes a mitochondrial DNA-directed RNA polymerase. The gene product is responsible for mitochondrial gene expression as well as for providing RNA primers for initiation of replication of the mitochondrial genome. Althoµgh this polypeptide has the same function as the three nuclear DNA-directed RNA polymerases, it is more closely related to RNA polymerases of phage and mitochondrial polymerases of lower eukaryotes. Stability:The stability of ELISA kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test. Keep the kit at 37°C for 4 and 7 days, and compare O.D.values of the kit kept at 37°C with that of at recommended temperature.
